dLOC Workshop Series: Best Practices for Digitization
The Digital Library of the Caribbean (dLOC) is pleased to present Building Capacity for Caribbean Collections: a dLOC workshop series for galleries, libraries, archives, and museums this Spring 2023.
The next workshop in the series is Best Practices for Digitization. When starting a new digitization project, you want to ensure that the work you are doing now is future-proof and will allow long-term digital access to your materials. This workshop will guide you through the best practices for digitization. It will look at the digitization process from beginning to end, including what you should consider when choosing digitization equipment, preparing your digitization space, recommended file standards and naming structures, and how to prepare your materials for inclusion in dLOC. This workshop is appropriate for those new to digitization projects, as well as those wanting a refresher.
The workshop will be on May 31, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM EST.
