Our RTC Research Internship Symposium was a success! Thank you to everyone who joined us on zoom and supported us online! It is because of the Mellon Foundation through the awarded grant to the Caribbean Digital Scholarship Collective that we were able to hold our symposium to this degree; special thanks! Thank you to our community partners including Dominica State College for the space. And to our other partners for supporting our ventures; we look forward to what the future holds.

Summer Intensive Training
Our Summer Intensive Training program for organizations is still accepting a few applications!
The program includes training in digital tools that we have been using for Digital Humanities projects here at Create Caribbean!
Along with the training, the organization representative will receive a stipend and after the training, an intern will be designated to your organization as a volunteer! Do not let this opportunity go!

Internship Applications Open!
Create Caribbean’s Research and Service Learning Internship Applications are open until August 31st, 2022. Only current students of DSC or applying to DSC from high school are eligible. Applications are only complete once the recommendation form from a past teacher/mentor/lecturer has been submitted.
There will be an Open House Info Session on July 14th, 2022 at UWI Open Campus Auditorium at 4:00 pm. Parents, students and future students who are interested should attend.
This paid internship brings students into the world of Digital Humanities. Digital Humanities has many definitions but one way to say it is that it is the approach of research where digital tools are used to study and analyze the humanities.

Connection BID ao Cubo Program - Latin America and the Caribbean - Second Edition
What is it?
IDB Lab, the innovation lab of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), and Cubo Itaú, the Brazilian hub for the promotion of technological entrepreneurship, will select 20 startups from the region for an immersion program in the Brazilian market.
For whom?
B2B startups from Latin America and the Caribbean in the traction or scaling phase will be eligible for "IDB ao Cubo" and priority will be given to technology projects with social impact. Preference in the selection process will also be given to startups founded or led by women, African-Americans, indigenous, LGBTQIA+, and/or disabled people.
When?
Startups interested in participating must complete their application between the 14th of June and the 18th of July, at the following link. The program will run from the 17th of August to the 20th of November of 2022.
