As part of our anniversary celebrations and events, we will be hosting in collaboration with the Department of Literatures in English, “Building Sustainable Institutions in the Digital Age: A Roundtable Discussion”.
This event will feature Dr. Sonjah Stanley Niaah, Nicole Morson and Dr. Natasha Lightfoot and will be moderated by Dr. Schuyler Esprit.
The Roundtable Discussion will be on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 2:30 PM JA/3:30 PM EST in Room N1, Faculty of Humanities and Education, UWI Mona Campus.

Summer Intensive Training 2024
Create Caribbean Research Institute (CCRI) is once again hosting a Summer Intensive Training for community partner agencies and organisations in a range of fields including climate, environment, literature and culture.
During the Summer Intensive Training, a representative from your organisation may be selected to receive applied training in digital tools and methods for community development. The training sessions will be held from May 13-24 in Dominica and online via Zoom.
Following this training, we will assign a CCRI Intern to your team to help meet your organisation's goals using Digital Humanities tools introduced at the workshops. We will not claim credit or ownership over any work you produce during our partnership.

Apply to be a Graduate Fellow
Create Caribbean Research Institute (CCRI) seeks a Graduate Student Fellow to support the work of the Institute with digital humanities research and project development. The Graduate Fellow will work closely with the Director of CCRI on various projects in digital humanities and Caribbean studies.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication, interpersonal and digital literacy skills. The candidate will also be able to work independently on projects and bring a strong spirit of collaboration and collegiality to the work of the Institute, which requires frequent engagement with staff and undergraduate students on project development. Knowledge of digital humanities tools and methodologies would be an asset.
The Graduate Fellow must be a current M.Phil or PhD student in the Department of Literatures in English at The UWI Mona Campus, or another department of the Faculty of Humanities and Education. This is a part-time position that requires availability for 15- 20 hours per week. The stipend is US$10 per hour.

Apply to be a Create Caribbean Intern Today
Create Caribbean Research Institute and Department of Literatures in English invite applicants for the RTC Internship Programme in Digital Humanities. The newly revamped internship includes research colloquium and practicum courses, a capstone project and a stipend.
The RTC Internship Program at Create Caribbean Research Institute is an academic enrichment initiative. Students are exposed to the culture of academic research, digital humanities and community engagement. Interns received the opportunity to collaborate, learn and practice their own talents on projects of importance to the college community, to national development and to building regional and international networks as students and scholars.

Apply to be a Camp Tutor
Create & Code is a technology education program offered by Create Caribbean Research Institute to encourage students aged 8 -16 to engage in multiple forms of digital literacy, including coding, game and app development, blogging and responsible social media use. Since 2014, this camp has become an annual product of our institution and has been successfully hosted in the Commonwealth of Dominica. This year we have expanded and will be hosting a camp in Kingston, Jamaica. If you would like to be part of our team, please fill out this application.
Create & Code will be from July 1 to July 26, 2024, 9 AM - 3 PM (Monday to Friday) at the UWI Mona Campus.
